About
“The mountains are calling
and I must go.”
– John Muir
Hello, and thank you for stopping by.
By being here, we most likely share a common interest. Call it Nature, Mountains, Waterfalls, Wildlife, Scenery, flora or fauna, but somewhere in that mix we agree. There is something in Nature, something that GOD has given us to appreciate that which we have not created with our own hands. Don’t take that too deeply. I appreciate, even admire, the skill of the craftsman and artist. I wish I could afford a small selection of the hand crafted items and paintings I have seen over the years. Scratch “seen” add “coveted”. But, between the “seen” and “coveted” I have witnessed sights that Can Not Be Duplicated by Man. And……………it is hard to believe that those sights….Just Happened?
Well anyway, welcome to my website. I started these photographs about 10 years ago after a very long absence from the mountains. My friends and traveling partners convinced me that I had progressed to such a point that I should share these images with others.
So, here I am. These photographs have been compiled over a ten year span from areas in North Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. I hope you enjoy them and would appreciate any comments, especially constructive ones.
No, I am not being hypocritical. What you will see in this website “pales by comparison” to what I have witnessed. But it is the best I can do. Make these trips yourself. However, if you are not able, then please feel free to look over my shoulder and enjoy.

Equipment
I currently use a Canon 5D body and depend on the Canon EF 24-105 L telephoto, the Canon EF 16-35 L wide angle, and the Canon EF 100-400 L telephoto lens. I am also learning to use a Canon Vixia HF S11 HD camcorder for video.
